CMS Begins Audits and Data Validation of 2017 and 2018 MIPS

Under the Quality Payment Program, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS) conducts an annual Data validations and Audits (DVA) of Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) measures and activities from the Quality, Improvement Activities, and Promoting Interoperability performance categories to ensure that the program is using accurate and useful data to validate measures and activities and inform future policy.
