Horizon Updates Reimbursement Policy for Behavioral Health Services Rendered by Supervised Practitioners 

Effective February 1, 2024, Horizon will implement a crucial update to its Behavioral Health Services Rendered by Supervised Practitioners reimbursement policy, expanding the scope of eligible practitioner types. The policy adjustment aims to enhance access to mental health services for patients enrolled in Horizon fully insured plans and Administrative Services Only (ASO) employer groups. 

Expanded Eligibility Criteria 

The updated policy now allows for the consideration of claims submitted for reimbursement for eligible services provided on or after February 1, 2024. The practitioner types newly eligible for reimbursement include:
