Acupuncture is now a standard-covered benefit for Aetna patients

Effective January 1, 2022, acupuncture services are covered by the majority of Aetna plans. Read along to discover this new reimbursement policy.

In accordance with a proven record of clinical effectiveness demonstrated by acupuncture treatment, Aetna has just added this service to the list of essential covered procedures for all commercial plans effective January 1, 2022. As a result, Aetna-participating acupuncturists may now start seeing even more patients.
