Horizon now requires its participating providers to recognize & accept new digital member ID cards

Horizon Blue informs its healthcare providers about an obligation to accept new digital ID cards issued to its members. To find out an effective date for this update, read along.
Effective January 1, 2022, Horizon-participating healthcare providers are required to accept digital member ID cards during an appointment. Horizon warns its active practitioners not to refuse to render a service in the absence of a physical benefit ID card.
