Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield now manages another labor union welfare fund

Since January 1, 2022, retirees affiliated with the Local 282 Welfare Trust Fund have been covered by the Empire MediBlue Freedom Medicare Advantage Plan. This is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) coverage, with fixed nationwide copays and coinsurance for both in-network and out-of-network services.
