Question: How to credential a supplemental office location?
Answered by Dmitriy Yermolaev, Credentialing Department supervisor:
Opening a new service location is always a challenge. Healthcare providers have to balance their time and resources between looking for a lovely space to rent and adding this brand new location to their insurance provider directory.
Primary and additional practice locations are addresses where patients are seen by practitioners. Insurance payers display and promote these service locations in their provider directories. Therefore, it is critical that all addresses where a provider furnishes his/her services, are credentialed with insurance payers.
