Did you know that it is prohibited to refer your patients to certain clinical entities? Namely, healthcare providers are not allowed to make referrals for certain healthcare services payable by Medicare or Medicaid if there is (or his/her immediate family member) a financial relationship between a particular provider (or his/her immediate family member) and an entity or an individual rendering a service.
