Physicians, Midwives and Nurse Practitioners are to Enjoy Updated Fees 
The NYS Department of Health (DOH) was authorized to benchmark non-facility fees for E&M and Medicine codes on the NYS Medicaid Physician Drug and Drug Administration Services Fee Schedule. This authorization was part of the NYS Enacted Budget for FY 2022-2023.  
Fee schedules for Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Midwife (MW) are benchmarked as per the NYS Medicaid Physician Drug and Drug Administration Services Fee Schedule. These fees will increase periodically and proportionately.  
In addition, MW Fee Schedule saw a rise as per the benchmark from 85% to 95% of the Physician Fee Schedule. This investment will likely impact the physician and primary care workforce in a positive way by improving access to primary and preventive care for NYS Medicaid members.  
From July 1, 2022, more than 500 procedure codes on the NYS Medicaid Physician Drug and Drug Administration Services Fee Schedule increased. The impacted fee schedules include the following: 

• NYS Medicaid Physician Drug and Drug Administration Services Fee Schedule 
• NYS Medicaid Physician Medicine Services Fee Schedule 
• Nurse Practitioner Services Fee Schedule 
• NYS Medicaid Midwife Services Fee Schedule
