Portugal Commits to Net Zero Healthcare Emissions by 2050

Portugal has taken a significant step towards tackling climate change by developing a national decarbonization plan for its healthcare sector. This plan puts the country on a path toward net-zero emissions by 2050. The Central Administration of the Health System in Portugal collaborated with HCWH Europe and Arup via Operation Zero to calculate the carbon footprint of the healthcare sector and develop a concrete plan towards zero emissions.
