Meet Our Billing Supervisor Elina Sabilova

Elizaveta Bannova Account Representative: Elina is highly determined, responsible, and somewhat reserved. Despite her remarkable achievement of being among the first to pass three AAPC exams in just six months, she remains modest and doesn’t like to boast about her successes. Her dedication and hard work have led to a rapid promotion to the position of supervisor, which she truly deserves.

Julia Abdullatypova Account Representative: Elina is not only a highly qualified professional, and a competent leader, but also an incredible mentor and a person you want to emulate. From the very first day, I was lucky to be mentored by Elina. Elina taught me not only how to become a professional in the fast-evolving medical billing industry, but also how important it is to always be a person with a big heart and empathy for others.

Arkadiy Sondor, System Administrator: Elina is not only dependable, but she is also incredibly friendly and kind. Her dedication to her profession makes her a true professional in her field, and her intelligence shines through in all she does. Furthermore, Elina’s nurturing nature extends beyond work, as she is a wonderful mother who takes excellent care of her family.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and where you grew up?

I was born in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in 1991. It’s a city with a rich history, and I had the privilege of growing up there. After completing my secondary school education in 2006, I initially aspired to become a tourist guide and showcase the beauty of my hometown. However, when it came time to choose my field of study, I decided to pursue international relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. I successfully graduated from the university, specializing in international relations.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?

In my limited free time, I prioritize spending it with my three-year-old son. We enjoy going to playgrounds and swimming pools together, creating special memories. When he is at kindergarten, I make time for self-care activities like yoga or listening to audiobooks while doing household chores.

What is something you are passionate about, and why?

I don’t have a single passion that defines me; instead, I have a diverse range of interests and activities that I enjoy. Finding a balance between my family, work, and personal pursuits is a constant challenge I strive to excel at. With only 24 hours in a day, managing my time effectively is crucial.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

If I could travel anywhere in the world, three destinations come to mind: Ireland, Greece, and Rio de Janeiro. I’m drawn to Ireland for its stunning views, Greece for its beautiful landscapes, and Rio de Janeiro to see the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer. Each place offers unique experiences and sights that I would love to explore.

What is something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to yet?

One thing I’ve always wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to yet is floating relaxation. The concept of floating in a sensory deprivation tank or floatation pod, where you’re suspended in water with a high concentration of Epsom salt, has always intrigued me. The idea of completely letting go, weightless and free from external distractions, sounds like a unique and deeply relaxing experience.

Floating relaxation is said to have numerous benefits for both the mind and body. It can help alleviate stress, promote relaxation, improve sleep quality, and enhance mindfulness. The sensation of floating effortlessly in the warm water is said to create a sense of deep relaxation and allows for introspection and mental clarity

Who is someone that has inspired you in your life, and why?

My mom has been my greatest inspiration. She devoted her entire life to my education and growth, always supporting me in pursuing my ideas and dreams, even when I doubted myself. Her unwavering belief in my abilities has been a source of strength and encouragement. I am truly grateful for her dedication and love. As a parent, I aspire to follow in her footsteps and provide the same level of support and guidance to my son.

How do you like to unwind after a long day at work?

After a long day at work, I prefer to unwind by getting a good night’s sleep. I find that resting and rejuvenating my mind and body through sleep is the best way to clear my thoughts and recharge for the next day. It helps me relax and prepare for new challenges ahead.

What is your favorite type of food, and do you have a favorite restaurant or recipe?

I believe that every cuisine offers delicious dishes, and I enjoy trying new flavors and culinary experiences. However, if I had to choose a favorite, I would say that Georgian food holds a special place in my heart. There’s something truly delightful about indulging in Georgian cuisine, especially when enjoying a meal at a restaurant in Tbilisi with a breathtaking view overlooking the city. The combination of unique flavors, rich spices, and traditional techniques used in Georgian cooking creates a truly memorable dining experience.

What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?

One thing that might surprise people about me is that during my childhood, I attended a dance school for 10 years. I had the opportunity to learn both folk and ballet dances and even performed on stage like a ballerina.

What is your favorite movie or TV show, and what do you like about it?

I enjoy the TV show “This is Us” because it explores the complexities of family relationships and provides thought-provoking insights. It delves into a wide range of topics, allowing me to connect with the characters and their stories. Another show I appreciate is “Black Mirror” for its intriguing exploration of the impact of technology on society. It presents cautionary tales that make me reflect on the consequences of our increasingly interconnected world.

What is a skill you would like to learn or improve upon, and why?

One skill I would like to learn or improve upon is psychology. I find the human mind fascinating, and understanding the intricacies of human behavior and thought processes would be invaluable in my personal and professional life. Psychology can provide insights into why people behave the way they do, improve communication and relationships, and enhance problem-solving abilities. It’s a skill that can have a positive impact on various aspects of life, and I hope to delve into it in the future.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Introvert, hard-working, organized.

How do you stay motivated and focused in your work and personal life?

It seems like you have a practical and task-oriented approach to motivation. Rather than actively seeking external sources of motivation, you prioritize completing tasks based on their necessity and the specific reasons behind them. This approach allows you to focus on getting the job done efficiently, regardless of the varying motivations behind each task. By recognizing the importance of completing the work, you maintain your motivation and stay focused on accomplishing what needs to be done.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting in your field?

Find patience and confidence, breathe, and start learning. Starting in a new field can be overwhelming, with a vast amount of knowledge and skills to acquire. It’s important to be patient with yourself as you embark on this learning journey. Give yourself time to absorb information, make mistakes, and grow.
