Autism Care in Low-Resource Settings: A Successful Partnership Model in Northern Sri Lanka 

A recent article in Lancet highlighted challenges faced by low-income and middle-income countries in addressing autism prevalence and limited autism-specific services. It showcases the establishment of an Autism Center in Northern Sri Lanka through a successful partnership-based public/non-governmental organization/charity model. The Center has evolved into a Learning Health System, providing high-quality healthcare in low-resource settings. 

Autism prevalence is on the rise globally, posing challenges for low-resource countries like Sri Lanka. The establishment of an Autism Center in Northern Sri Lanka aims to pioneer services for emerging health priorities in such settings.
