1. Can you tell us a bit about your background and where you grew up?

I was born in the heart of Central Asia, in the capital city of Uzbekistan – Tashkent.

2. What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?

Well, outside of my professional life, I have a diverse range of hobbies and activities that I’m passionate about. I hit the gym regularly to stay fit and healthy. I also enjoy attending lively Latino dance parties and even occasionally host aroma-master classes.

Additionally, I have a deep appreciation for the arts. You can often find me visiting art galleries and exhibitions, immersing myself in the world of theater, and savoring soul-soothing tunes at concerts featuring instrumental music. These interests truly add vibrancy to my life outside of work.

3. What is something you are passionate about, and why?

Recently, my profound passion has been ignited by the enchanting realm of aromatherapy and the remarkable influence of essential oils on our emotional and physical well-being. I find immense joy in conducting master classes, where I get to impart my knowledge. Through these sessions, I not only educate attendees but also guide them in crafting their own unique scents using essential oils. It’s a world of fragrant wonders and wellness that continues to captivate my heart.

4. What is the best book you’ve read recently, and what did you like about it?

I’ve maintained a perpetual curiosity about psychology and the journey of self-improvement. Recently, I’ve delved into a captivating book, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. This enlightening read has offered me a fresh perspective on comprehending our loved ones, their methods of expressing affection, and how we interpret these gestures from our own vantage point. It’s an incredibly fascinating exploration of the intricacies of human connections and emotions.

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

While I haven’t had the chance to explore most European countries, Italy has always been at the top of my travel wishlist. It’s a nation where nature, art, history, and religion seamlessly meld together to create a cultural juggernaut, and I’m eager to experience its richness firsthand.

6. What is something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to yet?

From time to time, I find it exhilarating to push my boundaries and embrace extreme adventures. Whether it’s soaring through the sky with paragliding, exploring the depths of the sea while diving, or taking the plunge with rope jumping, I’ve been there. However, there’s one daring escapade left on my list: parachuting. I’m eagerly anticipating the day I’ll take that leap from the sky and experience the incredible rush of freefall.

7. Who is someone that has inspired you in your life, and why?

My parents have been a constant source of inspiration for me, instilling the values of strength and kindness. They’ve imparted a crucial life lesson that I hold dear: every individual we encounter and each challenge we confront serves as an opportunity to learn and refine our character. Their wisdom has emphasized the importance of remaining open to new lessons and continuous improvement throughout the remarkable adventure of life.

8. How do you like to unwind after a long day at work?

After a long day, my preferred way to unwind is with a cup of herbal tea while listening to interviews or podcasts featuring thought leaders like Simon Sinek and Mel Robbins. Their insights and perspectives are both calming and thought-provoking, making it the perfect way to relax and enrich my mind.

9. What is your favorite type of food, and do you have a favorite restaurant or recipe?

As a Central Asian lady, I must admit that I’m an eternal fan of our local cuisine, especially pilaf. For me, it’s a case of one love – one pilaf!

10. What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?

People are often surprised to learn that I was part of the team behind international investment forums held in Uzbekistan (the Development of Pre-School Education/UNESCO and Annual Investment Forum/EBRD). In my role as Project Manager, I was responsible for selecting, interviewing, training, and managing over 1000 volunteers in Tashkent and Samarkand, where these international events took place.

It might also come as a surprise that I have some knowledge of the Greek language, albeit at a very basic level. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and a lack of practice, my proficiency has waned over the years. I can still recall a few phrases and manage to read and understand some words. However, what remains most vivid in my memory are the wonderful experiences from my one-month Greek summer school education in Athens, all thanks to my teacher, Dimitra Papadopoulos.

11. What is your favorite movie or TV show, and what do you like about it?

I’m a fan of many of Christopher Nolan’s films, including Interstellar, Oppenheimer, and Inception. What I admire most about his work is that he consistently challenges his audience to think deeply. He creates movies that not only entertain but also leave the viewers with plenty of food for thought.

12. If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

I am cheerful, loyal, and empathic.

13. How do you stay motivated and focused in your work and personal life?

My relentless pursuit of professional success is fueled by the belief that hard work is the key to achieving my goals. I find that aligning my values with the vision and mission of the company I work for is a powerful way to stay motivated. When I see that my efforts are in harmony with the company’s objectives, it catalyzes me to push my boundaries even further. Therefore, I place great importance on recognizing and celebrating achievements, both on a personal and organizational level, as they signify milestones on my journey toward success.

14. What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting in your field?

Always be proactive in asking questions and never hesitate to seek assistance when something is unclear. Cultivate a strong sense of dedication and passion for your pursuits, as this commitment is often a precursor to reaping the rewards, and it might happen sooner than you think.

15. What is something you’re grateful for today?

In a world filled with fragmented news and events, I am profoundly grateful that my dear ones are content and in good health.
