Change Healthcare, a prominent healthcare technology company under the Optum umbrella and owned by UnitedHealth Group, recently disclosed a cyberattack that has disrupted several of its systems and services. The incident, reported on February 21st via a statement on the company’s website, prompted Change Healthcare to disconnect its systems “in the interest of protecting our partners and patients.” 

This cyberattack is concerning due to Change Healthcare’s widespread presence across the healthcare sector and its critical role in providing mission-critical services.
