Locum Tenens Arrangements

Formerly known as Locum Tenens Arrangements, Fee-For-Time Compensation Arrangements are established billing methods whereby the Medicare may pay the regular physician of a patient for a substitute physician’s services, and services that may arise in the process of rendering such services, during the absence of the regular physician. With this arrangement, the regular physician pays the substitute physician on a per diem or similar fee-for-time basis, together with certain other requirements being met.
