This edition focuses on Anna Karpova, one of our Quality Assurance analysts. Anna believes that WCH has a great insight into the future by developing IT products and solutions to enhance the field of medicine. To know more about Anna and her work experience with the WCH team, read along!
We interviewed Anna Karpova, one of our Quality Assurance analysts. Anna shared her work experience and explained her current responsibilities as a Quality Assurance analyst. She also discussed her career plans and dreams and expressed her views about the future of WCH and how IT products are developing the medical field.
Presently a Quality Assurance analyst, Anna started her WCH career with the Billing Department as an Account Representative in 2017. She was also partly working with the EHR section. Though she felt that joining WCH was easy, she initially found the work a bit challenging, but she found support in the entire WCH team who helped her to understand the processes.
This is what she has to say about her initial experience; “In fact, my first day at work was such a unique experience that I will remember it forever. In the beginning, it was quite hard to understand medical billing processes and learn a lot of new information but everybody was so supportive and trained me so well, so it was easy to get involved in the work.”
Sometime later, she got promoted to her current job position as a Quality Assurance Analyst in the IT Department. Her responsibilities include understanding and documenting what clients want, relaying the information to the programmers, tracking the projects, updating information about the progress, collaborating with the developers, and communicating with clients for further changes and testing the software, as well as letting them know the new features WCH is adding to their product.
What she finds most difficult in the job is the pressure of finishing a project before a deadline. However, she enjoys most of the responsibilities that come with her current position and likes to be very productive because she has to keep up with the experts she works with. So she always tries to improve herself and her skills.
Asked about the advice she would give to her clients and potential clients who will read this article, Anna simply said, “Provide us with regular feedback.”
Considering the future of WCH and the entire healthcare industry, Anna had this to say: “The health care industry is about to enter a period of rapid change and I think that, with the kind of products and solutions WCH is offering, the company is having an insight into the future, which is key to successful innovation. Most of the changes in health care happened during the pandemic, and the company is always developing and keeping up with modern technologies while using the needs of 2021 to develop solutions for future problems.”
On how IT products will develop in the field of medicine, Anna thinks that information technology is already being used in a wide range of fields and one of them is Medical where it is known as Health Information Technology, which involves the processing, storage, and exchange of health information in an electronic environment. She believes that IT products help to improve the quality of health care, prevent medical errors, reduce health care costs, decrease paperwork, and expand access to affordable health care.
Regarding her future in WCH, Anna believes that the best way to plan for the future is to make the most of the present. So, while she is open to whatever opportunities that may arise in the future, she is happily enjoying every bit of her job and being part of an innovative team while learning all she can from the job. She never thought of being a Quality Assurance analyst until she was promoted to this position. So, at the moment, she doesn’t see herself working anywhere else, as she plans to grow and develop into a professional web strategist.
Anna advises people striving for their dreams to always believe that they can do it. She backed her advice with Theodore Roosevelt’s words: “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
In her free time, Anna likes to listen to audiobooks, as it helps her to acquire listening skills and to focus on the moment. She also loves indoor activities, such as playing board games or watching a good movie with her family and friends. Another of her hobby, which is more like a goal, is studying the Korean language since she dreams of traveling to Korea.
Anna prefers books and music to movies. She is fond of listening to Reggaeton and Rancheras music and reading autobiographic or travel stories. She also loves meditations, good food, and watching documentaries.
