Horizon BCBS of New Jersey to discontinue its Medicare Advantage plans for certain members

Effective 2022, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield will no longer offer Medicare Advantage plans to individuals residing in specific counties of New Jersey. Such members will be unilaterally delegated to a different partner insurance plan. Read along to get more details on this plan and to find out if you participate.
Horizon BCBS of NJ Medicare Advantage plan members who reside in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, and Union counties of New Jersey will be transferred to a different insurance plan starting from January 1, 2022.
