Effective April 1, 2022, NYSDOH will cover continuous glucose monitors rendered to patients with an expanded list of pre-existing clinical conditions. Currently, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) are covered only for members diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Starting from April, Medicaid beneficiaries with gestational or type 2 diabetes will be able to get them from Medicaid-participating healthcare providers.
