NYSDOH to launch a new provider enrollment portal

Medicaid practitioners in New York State (NYS) will have access to a new Provider Enrollment Portal, built by the NYS Department of Health (DOH) and the contracted fiscal agent responsible for the eMedNY system starting in Spring 2022.

The portal will allow practitioners to do a variety of maintenance transactions online, as well as provide an alternative to the current paper enrollment process, reducing the turnaround time of the application process. This platform will also help practitioners fill out forms correctly and will provide step-by-step guidance to guide them through the procedure. Using this website, healthcare providers will soon be able to do the following activities online:
• Review personal provider file data, including Electronic Transmitter Identification Numbers (ETINs)• Make address changes• Perform Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) updates• Affiliate to groups• Update bank account information• Add specialties• Check the status of maintenance transactions
At the time of writing, the exact release date, as well as the web address of this online portal are yet to be announced. Healthcare providers should expect to get this information from the current provider portal – emedny.org
