How to avoid cheating in telemedicine

Telemedicine has become increasingly popular in recent years. Many of you probably get offers from recruiters. We advise you read the latest fraud alert from the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) before you opt to get involved. 

Dated July 20, the Special Fraud Alert was issued by OIG. It provides information about fake telemedicine companies. Their goal is to make practitioners apply deception schemes to Medicare by prescribing medically unnecessary items and services. To attract practitioners, they use kickbacks and tricks.
