Revolutionizing Medical Billing: WCH Joins Industry Leaders in Improving Healthcare Operations

At WCH, we are constantly working to improve the services we provide to medical professionals and their patients. We are committed to making the doctor’s world a better place by using data-driven insights and analytics to make strategic decisions that can help maximize your reimbursement and streamline your processes. As part of our ongoing effort, we have joined the CAQH Core healthcare claims committee, a group dedicated to improving the operations and transactions between healthcare providers and insurance companies.

The Health Care Claims Subgroup of the CAQH Core Committee was recently launched, with a focus on the health care claim and their associated transactions. The mission of this committee is to drive the creation and adoption of healthcare operating rules that support standards, accelerate interoperability and align administrative and clinical activities among providers, payers, and consumers. This initiative will make the process more efficient and effective for all parties involved.

CAQH CORE is the national operating rule author to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of industry-driven business transactions. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) designated CAQH CORE as the author of national operating rules for HIPAA-covered administrative transactions. The Subgroup is tasked with evaluating opportunities identified and prioritized by the CAQH CORE Health Care Claims Focus Group, to develop draft data content operating rule requirements in four specific areas:

  • Telehealth Place of Service (POS)
  • Value-based Payments
  • Coordination of Benefits
  • 277CA Code Combinations.

As a member of the CAQH Core Group, we are honored to be part of this team and committed to helping define solutions in these specific areas. By defining industry standards in these areas, we can reduce claims denials, eliminate the need for phone calls to insurance companies, and standardize the submission of claims to universal standards. This will make the process more efficient and effective for all parties involved.

At WCH, we strive to be different, not just better, and our dedication to the medical billing industry is one way we are achieving this goal. We will keep our clients informed about our progress and the results of our efforts. As always, we remain committed to providing innovative, comprehensive, and effective solutions to all our clients’ needs.
