COVID-19 Telemedicine Flexibilities for Prescribing Controlled Medications Has Been Extended  

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) have jointly agreed to extend the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) on a temporary basis. This extension took effect on May 11, 2023, and is only applicable for the prescription of “Controlled Medications”.
