Beacon Health Options shifted to a new name on March 1, 2023. They are now Carelon Behavioral Health. However, the good news is none of your contracts, coverage plans for patients, reimbursement policy or level of support has been changed.
So, why did the name change?
Back in June 2022, Elevance Health, the parent company of Beacon Health, announced a new healthcare services brand. The new brand was named ‘Carelon’ which is derived from the word “care” and the suffix “ion” meaning full and complete.
With this new branding, Carelon has now joined some other prestigious businesses i.e., AIM Specialty Health, HealthCore, and myNEXUS that will create a powerful suite of solutions addressing the industry’s most complex challenges with a holistic approach.
