CMS is proposing coding and payment for services that aid underserved populations and address unmet health-related social needs, which can potentially interfere with medical diagnosis and treatment. The rule also introduces payment for caregiver training services in specific circumstances, recognizing the valuable role of caregivers in supporting Medicare beneficiaries.
