Provider Termination Notification and Demographic Information Review. Fidelis Care

In a recent update from Fidelis Care, providers are urged to take note of the upcoming changes related to CMS Final Rule CFR 422.111. The focus of this notification revolves around the Provider Termination Member Notification Requirement, effective January 1, 2024.

1. Provider Termination Member Notification Requirement:

To align with the new CMS requirement, Fidelis Care will implement a 45-day advance notification to members when a provider leaves the health plan’s network. Providers are crucial in facilitating this process by submitting a notice of termination or exit from the network at least 60 days before the effective date. It’s important to note that individual contract terms may necessitate a longer notice period.
