The EmblemHealth Quality Management department is gearing up for its annual medical record review as part of the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), Regulatory State Reporting, and compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards.
In the coming weeks, healthcare providers may receive correspondence containing a list of patients for whom medical records are required, accompanied by a HEDIS Medical Record tip sheet. This crucial project involves the meticulous collection of information from medical records, which is then submitted to both state authorities and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
