Effective immediately, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield will request HEDIS-related medical records from its healthcare providers who bill claims for the Federal Employee Program plan. For this initiative, the payer is cooperating with Reveleer, a third-party medical necessity review entity. Affected healthcare providers will receive an applicable letter from Reveleer with a list of patients and dates of service. The requested charts may be provided via fax, mail, or by providing access to your EHR.
