Effective February 14, 2022, Horizon-participating healthcare providers have had their network specialists reassigned by the payer. A Payer network specialist is the representative of a given insurance company who deals with all enrollment-related and sometimes payment-related processes of his/her assigned healthcare providers. In most cases, a network specialist has jurisdiction and oversees these processes within a specific geographical area, for example, within a single ZIP code.
