Modifier FB: New reimbursement policy for Professional and Facility

Titled as FB, Empire BlueCross BlueShield (Empire) is about to launch a new professional and facility reimbursement policy for Professional and Facility. The new policy will be effective on or after October 1, 2022. 

With no additional cost, Modifier FB will be appended to all devices, supplies or drugs. Services included in modifier FB will not be eligible for reimbursement. It is to be noted, Modifier FB has been removed from the Modifier rules.
