To avoid a hold on your Medicare payments and deactivation of your Medicare billing privileges, it is always advisable to revalidate before your due date. There are some easy ways to find your revalidation due date, as follows:
- Medicare Revalidation List Tool
- Search by name or NPI
- If you see ‘TBD’ (to be decided) in the due date field this means the CMS has not assigned the revalidation date yet. Keep in mind that if the due date is TBD, all unsolicited revalidation applications will be returned.
- There is a guiding article titled “How to Search on the Medicare Revalidation List Tool for Due Date” on the NGSMedicare website that will be very helpful.
- Revalidation notice mailed by National Government Services
- Mailed in a yellow envelope
- Internet-based Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS)
- You just need to sign in with the user ID and Password
If you want to check the status of your submitted application regarding revalidation, you can do it by using the ‘Check Provider Enrollment Application Status Tool’ from the NGSMediCare website. If your status is showing “Approval Recommendation”, please contact the state agency mentioned in your approval recommendation letter.
A few things to remember…
- Pay the application fee on time.
- Make your CMS form(s) signed by the individual provider or an authorized/delegated official of an organization.
- Submit all required documents
- Verify LBN matches the IRS document
- Submit both individual & group enrollment applications for a Sole Owned Group in PECOS.
