UK Trial Shows Blood Tests Could Spare Cancer Patients from Chemotherapy 

A new blood test that can detect circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) could potentially save thousands of cancer patients from unnecessary annual chemotherapy. Currently, the gold standard treatment for many cancer patients is intravenous chemotherapy, which can cause long-term nerve damage and painful side effects.
