Queensland Government Calls for Free Nationwide Flu Vaccinations Amid Severe Outbreak 

The Queensland government has taken action to combat the current flu outbreak by initiating a one-off program that will provide free flu vaccinations to all Queenslanders. Citing low vaccination rates and a particularly severe influenza B strain this year, the state will allocate up to $10 million to subsidize the vaccine. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk emphasized the importance of vaccination and encouraged everyone to get their flu jab without any financial barriers.
