Meet Ilya Mirolyubov

Ilya handles the most vital task in WCH, resolving technical issues internally and externally with clients. He has a secret sauce when it comes to customer service work. I have not met many people who can quickly pinpoint IT problems and solve them. On a personal level, he is an amazing individual who always brings a smile and warmth to my day.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and where you grew up? 

I grew up in Karakalpakstan, Takhiatash. Then, in 1999, I moved to Tashkent and had the privilege of studying at Tashkent State Technical University. 

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work? 

Outside of work, I enjoy delving into IT-related books and finding tranquility through fishing. 

What is something you are passionate about, and why? 

At present, my passion is deeply rooted in AI, and I find myself thoroughly engrossed in exploring its myriad tools and applications. This field is incredibly captivating, offering boundless opportunities for exploration and innovation. 

What is the best book you’ve read recently, and what did you like about it? 

Recently, I read American Kingpin: The Epic Hunt for the Criminal Mastermind Behind the Silk Road by Nick Bilton. I appreciated that it was based on a true story, which made it all the more captivating.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? 

If given the opportunity, I would love to visit Japan. I’m drawn to its rich culture, delectable cuisine, and the vibrant energy of Tokyo. 

What is something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to yet? 

I’ve always had an interest in hunting and would like to experience it firsthand someday. 

Who is someone that has inspired you in your life, and why? 

I find inspiration in the dedication and love of my family. Their unwavering support motivates me to strive for success. 

How do you like to unwind after a long day at work? 

After a long day at work, I find solace in spending time with my son, taking leisurely walks with our dog, and unwinding with a good movie. 

What is your favorite type of food, and do you have a favorite restaurant or recipe? 

I have a penchant for Asian cuisine, particularly Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese. Additionally, I adore Central Asian dishes like Plov, Samsa, and Beshbarmak. 

What is something people might be surprised to learn about you? 

Surprisingly, I have a dream of owning a farm one day to reconnect with nature and live a simpler life. 

Do you have any pets? 

Yes, we have a delightful Pomsky named Kai. 

What is your favorite movie or TV show, and what do you like about it? 

I’m a big fan of The Simpsons for its timeless humor. As for movies, Braveheart stands out to me for its powerful portrayal of leadership and resilience. 

What is a skill you would like to learn or improve upon, and why? 

I am keen on enhancing my time management and organizational skills to boost productivity at work. Additionally, improving my confidence and public speaking abilities will make me a more effective communicator and leader. 

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be? 

Honest, respectful, kind. 

How do you stay motivated and focused in your work and personal life? 

To maintain motivation and focus, I regularly review my goals and progress, set new objectives, and surround myself with positive influences. 

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone starting in your field? 

I would advise newcomers to remain persistent despite the challenges they may encounter. Success often comes through perseverance and determination. 

What is a goal or aspiration you have for the future? 

One of my aspirations is to become certified in the HIPAA path, furthering my expertise in the field.

“It’s only those who do nothing that makes no mistakes.” 

What is something you’re grateful for today? 

Today, I’m immensely grateful for my loving family and the opportunities provided by my company. 

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, whom would it be and why? 

If given the chance, I would love to converse with Yuri Gagarin. I’d be fascinated to hear about his experiences in space and his perspectives on the unknown aspects of the universe, such as the existence of extraterrestrial life.
