As you know, St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) is currently in negotiations with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) regarding reimbursement rates. Unfortunately, these negotiations haven’t resulted in an agreement as of yet. This update details the impact on patients and your practice.
Here’s what you need to know:
Effective July 1, 2024:
- SPHP is considered out-of-network for most UHC plans, including:
- Employer-sponsored commercial (excluding NYS Empire Plan)
- Medicare Advantage
- Medicaid
- Essential
It may disrupt access for patients with these UHC plans.

- Samaritan Hospital
- Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital
- Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehabilitation Association
- Empire Home Infusion Services, including Northeast Home Medical Equipment
- The Community Hospice
